curriculum, and network topology). We have two operating systems installed on each PC - Linux Debian,
W2K Pro. Servers work under control of Linux Debian, SUN Solaris, Windows 2000 Advanced Server OSes.
I am also responsible for turning the following services in department's network environment:
Active Directory, DNS, mail (exim), DHCP, NIS, Samba, Web (Apache), etc.
Support of NSU Linux cluster is my duty since Jan 2001. The cluster is used
as for teaching students as for scientific researches (quantum-chemistry calculation, 3D tomography, genetic etc.)
The departments of NSU (FIT and MMF) take part in caring out programming contests for among students and
pupils. Participants of contests solve the tasks at PCs in computer rooms of our department
and post solutions on a department server which is configured for solution checking. Since I am system
administrator of Informational Technology Department I always took part in contests for technical support
(ACM,
Others).
Russia-German workshop on parallel programming was carried out in Novosibirsk in 2004.
I had to configure our cluster to participants of the workshop could compile and execute OpenMP programs.
